500×1000mm Church Event LED Screen
Max Series · 0.5 m² cabinets · Reinforced frame · Indoor and outdoor · 3,840Hz · Fast assembly · P1.95–P3.91

A large church event needs a screen that goes up fast, comes down faster and still looks seamless on camera. The 500×1000mm church event LED screen uses twice the panel area of a 500×500mm cabinet: a 100 m² wall needs 200 panels instead of 400, which halves the locking points, the cable runs and the time your team spends at height. A reinforced spine frame and CNC-machined edges hold the seam at sub-millimetre tolerance when the wall is twenty panels wide.

  • 0.5 m² per cabinet at 14 kg — half the panels, half the locking points, fewer panel operations per square metre
  • Reinforced spine frame and high-precision CNC splicing — sub-millimetre seam tolerance held across wide builds
  • Indoor IP20 and outdoor IP65 from P1.95 to P3.91, including the 1/8-scan high-brightness outdoor version
  • One-stop power and signal box with front or rear module service for fast on-site repair

Quick Answers Before You Scroll

What is the Max Series? A 500x1000mm church event LED screen cabinet family with 250×250mm modules (2×4 per cabinet), 14 kg die-cast frames and 87mm depth, offered in indoor IP20 and outdoor IP65 versions from P1.95 to P3.91.

Why use a 500×1000mm panel instead of 500×500mm? Because the wall is big. For the same area you use half the cabinets, which means half the locks, half the connections and roughly half the assembly time. A 100 m² wall is 200 panels instead of 400.

What is a church event LED screen used for? Outdoor services and drive-in church, Easter and Christmas productions, youth and conference stages, and any setting where the screen has to be built, used and struck within days.

Which pitch for an outdoor church event? P2.604 for close stage work, P2.97 for a mid-size stage backdrop, P3.91 for larger distances and value builds. The 1/8-scan P3.91 version is the brighter outdoor option.

Can it be ground-stacked and flown? The cabinet supports ground stacking and hanging configurations with the matching bars and clamps. Tell us which one you will use, because the rigging hardware is quoted separately.

Product definition

What Makes a 500×1000mm Cabinet Different

Each 500x1000mm church event LED screen cabinet is 87mm deep and carries eight 250×250mm modules in a 2×4 layout at 14 kg. It is the same module and the same connection philosophy as a 500×500mm panel, in a taller frame.

The consequence is arithmetic. A 100 m² wall built from 500×1000mm panels needs 200 cabinets; the same wall in 500×500mm panels needs 400. Half the cabinets means half the inter-cabinet connections, half the locks to check, and half the places a fault can start. On a large event build that is the difference between a crew finishing in the afternoon and a crew still working at midnight.

The structural part matters too. A 1 m tall cabinet carries more load per locking point than a 0.5 m cabinet, so the frame is a reinforced spine design and the edges are CNC-machined to hold a sub-millimetre seam across a wide wall. This is where cheap rental panels fail: the wall looks fine three panels wide and shows a visible grid twenty panels wide.

Three Reasons Large Church Events Go Wrong

These are the failure modes we see on outdoor services and seasonal productions, and the reasons the cabinet size is chosen before the pitch.

Problem 1

“The build ran into the night”

More panels means more locks, more connections and more time. Doubling cabinet area halves the count, and hardwired connection plus quick locks cuts the per-panel time further. The saving compounds on a wall that is twenty panels wide.

Problem 2

“You can see the grid from the back row”

Cheap frames flex over a wide span, so the seams open up. A reinforced spine frame with CNC-machined edges holds a sub-millimetre seam tolerance, which is what keeps the wall reading as one image from 40 m away.

Problem 3

“Rain stopped the service”

An event screen is chosen for the weather it will meet. The IP65 outdoor build with sealed connectors and correct cable routing is the difference between a screen that survives a shower and a service that ends early.

Engineering

Four Details That Decide a Large Event Build

Half the panels, roughly half the assembly time

A 0.5 m² cabinet carries two modules across and four down. Because the locking and connection count scales with cabinet count rather than area, a large wall goes up in about half the panel operations of a 500×500mm build. On a 100 m² stage that is 200 cabinets instead of 400.

Seamless splicing across a wide wall

Panel gap tolerance is the number that separates a professional wall from a visible grid. CNC-machined cabinet edges and positioning pins hold a sub-millimetre seam, so twenty panels across still read as one surface. The published 0.1mm figure belongs to the 500×500mm cabinet of the same platform; confirm the tolerance for a 500×1000mm build on your datasheet. This matters most for camera work, where a small seam becomes a bright line in a live stream.

A module that stays put until you remove it

The module retention on a 1 m cabinet has to survive transport, stacking and volunteers. Modules are magnet-held with positioning pins and a locking detail, so they do not creep during handling, and a swap still takes about two minutes from the front with a suction tool.

Resolution options from P1.95 to P3.91

Indoor builds run P1.95, P2.604 and P2.97 at IP20. Outdoor builds run P2.604, P2.97 and P3.91 at IP65, with a high-brightness 1/8-scan P3.91 version for daylight events. One cabinet frame, several modules — the pitch is a module decision, not a new screen.

Where churches use it

Church Events This Cabinet Is Built For

The common builds for a 500x1000mm church event LED screen are an 8 m × 4 m outdoor stage wall (64 cabinets), a 6 m × 3 m festival backdrop (36 cabinets) and a 4 m × 3 m indoor production wall (24 cabinets). Because the cabinet is 1 m tall, a two-cabinet-high wall is already 2 m of screen height — useful when the stage deck is low and the congregation is seated on flat ground.

For drive-in and outdoor services the practical issue is not the screen but the sightline: a 4 m high wall on a 1 m stage clears the roofs of cars in the first rows. We size those builds from your site plan rather than from a catalogue ratio.

The 8-scan is the brighter daylight option at the cost of refresh headroom in very demanding camera setups — confirm which scan the quotation specifies. Brightness figures are panel ratings quoted at the module, not a guarantee against direct sunlight; we size outdoor events from your event hours and the site rather than from a brochure number.

Selection

Choosing Pitch and Size for a Church Event

Two decisions, in order, for any 500x1000mm church event LED screen. First pitch from the closest viewer; then height from the sightline, because an event wall is read from a flat floor where heads block the bottom rows.

Pixel Pitch Comfortable From Best Church Event Use Build
P1.95 about 2 m Indoor production, close camera work, small halls Indoor IP20
P2.604 about 2.6 m Indoor stage walls, near-field outdoor stages Indoor or outdoor
P2.97 about 3 m Mid-size outdoor backdrops, conference stages Indoor or outdoor
P3.91 about 4 m Large outdoor events, long-throw backdrops, value builds Outdoor IP65

Rule of thumb used by our engineers: minimum viewing distance in metres ≈ pitch in millimetres. Treat it as a floor, not a target.

Budget logic

What Drives the Cost of a Church Event LED Screen

The cabinet size is a cost lever as well as an assembly lever on a 500x1000mm church event LED screen. Fewer, larger cabinets means fewer locks, fewer connections and less rigging hardware for the same area — but each cabinet is heavier, so handling and transport planning change.

  • Area. Events are sized from the sightline, so area is rarely optional. A 8 m × 4 m wall is 32 m² and 64 cabinets.
  • Pitch and build. Outdoor IP65 modules cost more than indoor IP20 modules at the same pitch, and finer pitch costs more per square metre.
  • Rigging. Ground stacking, flown truss and hanging bars are different hardware sets. Tell us the method at quotation stage; guessing here is how budgets break.
  • Control, cases and spares. Processor, sending card, flight cases, spare modules and spare receiving cards belong in the quote. A screen without spares is a screen that stops a service.

We quote from your site plan, the event calendar and the rigging method, and we send the cabinet count so the arithmetic is visible. If two pitches fit your budget, we will tell you which one we would install ourselves.

Straight answers

When the 500×1000mm Cabinet Is the Wrong Answer

  • Your wall is small. Below roughly 3 m × 2 m, a 14 kg cabinet is unnecessary weight. 500×500mm panels at 7.5 kg are easier to handle and re-arrange — see the 500×500mm rental LED screen for church.
  • You need it flush on a wall. An 87mm rental cabinet is not a wall-mounted product. For flush walls the 20.6mm slim indoor LED video wall is the correct family.
  • You expect midday sunlight readability. The published outdoor brightness is ≥700–800 nits on these configurations. If your service runs in midday direct sun, tell us the event hours and we will advise on a higher-brightness configuration rather than oversell this one.
  • The screen is mainly a stage backdrop. If the priority is a backdrop look that also hires out, the stage backdrop platform is a better starting point than an event kit.

Which series fits

Max 500×1000mm vs Enova 500×500mm vs a Fixed Church Wall

The cabinet size decision is really an assembly-speed decision, and this 500x1000mm church event LED screen is the large-panel side of it. The fixed-versus-rental decision comes first.

Option Cabinet Assembly Choose when
Max (this page) 500×1000mm, 14 kg, 0.5 m² Half the panels for the same area Large or outdoor events built and struck repeatedly
Enova 500×500mm, 7.5 kg, 0.25 m² More panels, lighter handling Smaller or frequently re-shaped screens, youth rooms, portable setups
Metastar backdrop 500×500 and 500×1000mm Built for touring backdrops You need a rental backdrop platform that also hires out to venues
PS slim wall 1000×250mm, 20.6 mm deep Wall-mounted, no structure Flush lyric wall with front-only service

If your church screens are a mix of permanent walls and events, most projects end up with a fixed wall in the sanctuary and a rental kit for the events calendar. Read fixed indoor church LED screens, outdoor church screens and the rental church LED screens overview to place this series in the range.

After the order

Delivery, Spares and Support in Year Three

Event kits for a 500x1000mm church event LED screen are packed as a build, not as loose panels: cabinets in flight cases sized to the count, hanging or stacking bars, power and signal distribution, spare modules, spare receiving cards and the front service tool.

  • Pre-shipment build test. Panels are aged and a sample wall is assembled to confirm gap tolerance and colour match before packing.
  • Documentation. Build sequence, cable map and processor configuration ship with the kit so a new volunteer team can follow the same steps as the first.
  • Year three. Spares stock, module-level replacement and remote diagnosis keep an event screen serviceable without returning cabinets.

Buyer questions

Church Event LED Screen: Buyer Questions Answered

Q1How much does it cost to rent LED screens for an event?

Hire is priced per day, per square metre and per location, so it scales with how often your church runs events. If that repeats more than about twice a year, owning panels is usually the cheaper path over a few seasons.

Q2What are the best screens for churches?

Fixed fine-pitch panels for permanent lyric walls, and rental cabinets at P2.6 to P3.91 with 3,840Hz refresh for events. The screen that fits your closest seat distance and your building beats any generic recommendation.

Q3How much does an LED church event screen cost?

Cost follows area, pitch, indoor or outdoor build, rigging method and controls. We quote with the cabinet count visible so you can check the maths instead of comparing a single headline number.

Q4How many cabinets do we need for an 8 m by 4 m wall?

An 8 m × 4 m wall is 32 m². At 0.5 m² per cabinet that is 64 cabinets of 500×1000mm, or 128 cabinets if you build it from 500×500mm panels.

Q5Is a 500×1000mm cabinet too heavy for volunteers?

At 14 kg it is a two-person lift, and that is the intended method. It is lighter per square metre than a 500×500mm cabinet, so a whole wall weighs less for the same area.

Q6Can the wall be ground-stacked instead of flown?

Yes, with the matching stacking bars and base. Tell us the method at quotation stage because flown, stacked and wall-mounted builds use different hardware.

Q7Is the outdoor version really weatherproof?

The IP65 build with sealed connectors survives rain during an event when cable routing is done correctly. It is an event product, not a permanent outdoor fixture for years of direct sun.

Q8Will 800 nits be visible outdoors?

The published outdoor brightness on these configurations is 700 to 800 nits, and how it reads depends on site, time of day and viewing distance. Send us the event hours and the direction the screen faces and we will size it against your conditions instead of a rule of thumb.

Q9What refresh rate do we need for live streaming?

3,840Hz or higher. All Max configurations run 3,840Hz, which keeps phone and broadcast cameras free of scan bars.

Q10Can we mix indoor and outdoor modules in one order?

Yes. They share the cabinet and control system, so a kit can be split between indoor modules for the hall and outdoor IP65 modules for the events calendar. The split is fixed at order time.

Q11How long does delivery take?

Production time depends on cabinet count and pitch, plus shipping. We confirm the schedule in writing with the order and flag any configuration with a longer lead time.

Q12What spares should we order?

A spare module allowance and at least one spare receiving card per control run. Both are quoted with the screen; ordering them after a failure adds shipping time to a problem you could have solved in two minutes.
